Each connectivity map entry has three possible components:

1. Status Notification. This object is located at the top of the page, it contains a short, color-coded descriptor regarding the overall status of the entire entry. There are four possible states: Alpha, Beta, Intermediate, and Final (light to dark respectively); although the descriptors are a little more descriptive than that.

2. Entry notes. When available, this object is located directly below the Status Notification and includes a verbose behind-the-scenes analysis of the entry. While most entries are comprehensive enough, sometimes I like to provide a little extra context, explain my thought process, or describe in detail specific problems that needed to be solved for the entry to evolve. Notes are not necessary to understand the entry, they are just an insight bonus.

3. Entry. The entries are located directly below the notes, if there are no notes, then below the status notification. Four progressive, color-coded layers, or 'versions' of the subject form a visual 'history' that is arranged vertically. Initially the lightest (bottom) "alpha" layer is populated with a sketchy and often speculative outline. Next the "beta" layer is populated with a more refined version that still contains a degree of uncertainty. Then the "intermediate" layer which is essentially complete except for possible conflicts with other external entries, and lastly the "final" and darkest (top) layer is filled in, which represents what is effectively the last word on the subject.
